Machines can be based on small strips almost on the ‘front line1 and their endurance because of this is rarely greater than 30 minutes. The aircraft is flown by army pilots and serviced usually by R.A.F, ground crews. Civilian Light Aircraft have always been made by skilled artisans right back to the Wright brothers.
