Britain’s first 75 m.p.h. Motorway, the London-Birmingham M.I as it is called, marks the start of the motorway age. The 72-mile road – the main sections of which have two 36ft wide carriage ways.

Each selected pair has been twined to give a pleasing picture to be displayed with an A4 or A3 printed size, large enough to read the small Eagle Centrespread text.
